Very rare 21” x 15” promotional sign hand painted on plywood. The CMIU blue label depicted is the Perkins large bug introduced in 1905 and used until 1926. When found on a box, this stamp is dated using the red overprinted serial numbers which changed series letters every four years, but printed examples of the stamp seen in promotions and advertising are depicted without overprints. Date is probably circa 1910.
